If you are 16 or 17, you represent that you have the capacity to agree to these Terms under applicable law, and that your parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms if required in your jurisdiction.

NorthMap Digital provides educational content focused on exploring digital trends in Canada. This includes articles, explainers, step-by-step guides, checklists, and curated resources designed to help users understand online tools, platform changes, and common digital concepts in a practical way.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NorthMap Digital Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Site.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total direct liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Site in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 EUR (whichever is lower).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NorthMap Digital Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

The Site may reference third-party services or concepts and may include links or pointers to third-party websites through content context. Those third-party sites are not controlled by NorthMap Digital Inc. and we are not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or practices.

Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party. You should review the third party’s terms and privacy policies before using their services.

Our Privacy practices are described on our Privacy page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy page and understand how cookie preferences and related choices can be managed.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and you consent to venue in those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us and describing the issue. We will make a good faith effort to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

The parties agree to a 30-day informal resolution period starting on the date we receive your notice. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may pursue a claim in the courts described in the Governing Law and Jurisdiction section.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others.

The following sections will survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law and Jurisdiction, Dispute Resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective 14 days after we post the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Site before the change becomes effective.
